Details
With “Rock the House”, Boogie Kathi and the Rockabillies make the dance floor tremble. Pianist Katharina Alber plays boogie woogie, rockabilly and blues together with her band, just as it sounds live on stage: direct, danceable and with plenty of punch.
The CD contains nine tracks in just under 30 minutes. Alongside classics such as “Crocodile Rock” by Elton John, “Rock This Town” by Brian Setzer and “Workin’ Man Blues” by Merle Haggard, there is the “Swanee River Boogie” and, with “Packts die Tanzschuach ein”, an original by Katharina Alber and Tom Mitterlechner.
Geby Reimair is on the microphone, joined by Johannes Sigl on bass, Tom Mitterlechner on guitar, Stefan Alber on keys and Andi Schiffer on drums. The recording is a must for everyone who loves boogie woogie and rock’n’roll, and a great gift for fans of handmade piano music.
