“A FATHER’S DREAM.”

Under the motto “A Father’s Dream,” Martin and Sabine captivate the audience. Martin Pyrker, celebrating his 50th stage anniversary, sparked the Boogie-Woogie enthusiasm in Austria in 1972.
This was the beginning of a growing enthusiasm for this genre in the German-speaking world and influenced further generations of young pianists. More than 2000 performances and concerts, over 100
original compositions and numerous tours (like “Stars of Boogie Woogie”) through Central Europe and the USA have since influenced Pyrker’s musical career. Very often, he is accompanied by his daughter Sabine on drums and the “washboard.”
Sabine is a multiple “Prima La Musica” winner, played numerous tours with the Joachim Palden Trio, is the drummer of her band “The Rocking Birds,” performed several solo concerts with classical percussion and is a long-standing member of the famous group by Martin Grubinger “The Percussive Planet Ensemble.”

Christoph Steinbach

Christoph Seinbach received private piano lessons at the age of 6. From that point on, he and the piano were inseparable. He heard his first Boogies at the age of 7, and when he accidentally inserted an unlabelled cassette, he was hooked – he listened to and played only Boogie Woogie.
Soon, the first performances in cafés and bars followed, and a little later, the first concerts at festivals.
In 2004, he started his own Boogie Festival, the Steinbach Boogie Woogie & Blues Festival, in Kitzbühel, which became a great success.
Christoph Steinbach has been involved in numerous tours, including with Eric Burdon and Pete York. He has already played in countries such as Greece, Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, England, Ireland, Bulgaria,…
Alongside Eric Burdon and Pete York, Christoph has played with Chris Farlowe, Chris Barber, Mungo Jerry, Tony Sheridan, Gus Backus, Chris Andrews and has also performed for TV stations like Pro7, ORF1, ORF2, 3Sat, WDR, ARD, ZDF, Hungarian TV, Greek TV stations, Bulgarian TV stations, ORF Radio and many more.

Andreas Bock & Niels van der Leyen

Niels von der Leyen belongs to the young generation of pianists dedicated to authentic Boogie Woogie & Blues Piano. The music of pioneers Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson, and Meade Lux Lewis and the rendition of their Boogie Woogie hits, as well as his own interpretation of this music, is part of his craft. He is known in renowned jazz and blues clubs as well as at international blues and boogie festivals. One of the best Boogie pianists worldwide.
Andreas Bock has been playing his drums for over 30 years now and is one of the best blues drummers in our country, awarded the German Blues Award. His experience is reflected in well over 3000 performances at all internationally recognized blues and jazz festivals across Europe. On tours with renowned American and Scandinavian artists, he showcases his skills and repeatedly presents the great variety of emotional blues drumming at his concerts.
Together, Niels von der Leyen and Andreas Bock bring the tradition of authentic Boogie Woogie & Blues duos to the stage in the traditional piano and drums setup! However, they also venture innovatively beyond the classical realm and embark on a journey into the modern world of the contemporary! In their luggage, their brand new CD: “The Boogie Woogie Duo”

Katharina Alber
Austria
Katharina Alber is one of the few female Boogie Woogie and Blues pianists in Austria and discovered her love for music at the age of 5, listening to her grandfather play the piano. As the granddaughter of the well-known Innsbruck jazz pianist Artur Rogger, she gained early insight into the jazz scene. Interested in multiple instruments, she later played clarinet and saxophone and made music together with her grandfather.
A few years later, she met the Austrian Boogie-Woogie pianist Robert Roth and began taking lessons from him.
Inspired by Boogie Woogie & Blues music, she founded her own festival in her hometown in 2015 and organizes several concerts. Katharina has performed for the Austrian TV channel “ORF” as well as for several radio shows in Austria and plays at Boogie and Blues festivals around the world.
Peter Salinger

Peter Salinger from Kitzbühel is self-taught. Since his youth, he has been fascinated by the unique sound of the harmonica. Whether it’s the bluesy style of John Mayall or the jazzy ballads of Toots Thielemanns to the playing style of Stevie Wonder
… It was always something to aspire to. For a long time, Salinger only played at private sessions with friends. It became really “serious” with the “Blues Bradler”. Then “tube-amplified” with his own blues band: the fancy Blues Band. Then as a permanent 3.
man with the “Joe Carpenter Trio”. And in between, many guest appearances such as with the group “Zeitweis”, with “So What” Mario Rosenauer, Sarah Koell, and many more. In 2022, Salinger caught the Boogie virus (or let himself be infected?) and now complements Katharina Alber as often as he can. His motto: Feel the music!
Gösta Müller
Austria
Born in Innsbruck, Gösta Müller studied piano, conducting (graduation and diploma with distinction), and jazz at the Innsbruck and Vienna Conservatories.
In addition to his teaching activities at the Tyrolean State Conservatory and various music schools, he has performed in Europe, America, and Asia.
Gösta Müller is actively involved in various roles, including as artistic director of the Orchestra of the Music Friends Innsbruck, the Chamber Orchestra Wattens, and the Salon Orchestra Alt-Innsbruck.
On double bass, he plays in Katharina Alber’s Boogie & Blues Band and shapes the music with impressive bass lines and rhythms.
